Debate Clubs will be offered for all students, delivered in 10-week sessions at all of our traditional levels (multi, advanced, middle.) Debate Clubs are where our excellent DebateAble coaches introduce, teach and build students' skills; offer plenty of opportunities to debate; and finish with a club capstone event. Debate Clubs do NOT include Tournament Session or tournament involvement. They begin the second week in September and end the week before Thanksgiving.  

Tournament Session will be devoted exclusively to preparing for and participating in an online, national DebateAble competition. The Tournament Session includes four meetings where Debaters will have time to work on speech writing and practice with their teams, and will culminate in a tournament on February 1st. Tournament Session will be open to all DebateAble students who register for a 2024 Debate Club, or have participated in a prior DebateAble session. (Fall 2023 or later.) Registration for tournament session will open in October. Specific date TBA.

One of our primary missions at DebateAble is to ignite in our students an appreciation for debate and a joy in practicing the skills that it teaches. For some, that goal is met by participating in a Debate Club, others have a desire to compete. Our new format aims to meet our mission and serve all of our debaters and debate community
