Winter and Spring 2025 Advanced Club Tournament Opportunities

DebateAble's Advanced Clubs (advanced multilevel and advanced middle school) both have exciting opportunities for competition in the coming year. Clubs will be participating in Seattle University's online tournaments in March and May of 2025.

Advanced Multilevel Level Clubs

For debaters who have participate in two or more multilevel DebateAble Clubs or Camps. (If your child has other debate experience and would like to participate, please email us at info@debateablekids.com.) Debaters may participate in one or both sessions. Register for both sessions for a $50 bundle discount!

Advanced Middle School Clubs

For debaters who have participate in two or more middle school DebateAble Clubs or Camps. SESSION ONE: Advanced Multilevel Club Speech Focus, with Coach Avalyn
Saturdays, Feb 1 - March 8, 9:15 - 10:30am PT
Final online tournament, March 14, 4 - 9:15pm PT

(6 meetings total + SU tournament)

Speech is an exciting format offered at most debate competitions with a focus skills that include increased confidence, effective public speaking, clear articulation, argument structure and persuasive language. Students will work with Coach Avalyn to learn about, practice and prepare for their choice of impromptu, extemporaneous or interpretive speeches for this compelling individual event.

SESSION ONE Advanced Middle School Debate Club with Coach Cara
Mondays, Jan 13 - March 10, 4:30 - 5:45pm PT
Final online tournament, March 14, 4 - 9:15pm PT

(7 meetings total + SU tournament)

Students explore multiple formats with a focus on Public Forum Debate. Tournament topic exploration, argument prep, construction and practice. Coach Cara will challenge advanced students to continue to grow as thinkers and debaters, and provide foundation for high school debate programs.

SESSION TWO: Advanced Multilevel Club Debate Focus, with Coach Avalyn

Saturdays, March 22 - May 17, 9:15 - 10:30am PT

Final online tournament, May 23, 4 - 9:15pm PT (9 meetings + SU tournament)

Activities and debate focus on higher levels of reasoning and argumentation, exploring topics with greater depth and continuing to practice and expand skills learned in multilevel debate. Coach Avalyn prepares debaters for national competition with topic exploration, argument prep, construction and practice.

SESSION TWO: Advanced Middle School Debate Club with Coach Cara:

Mondays, March 31 - May 19, 4:30 - 5:45pm PT

Final online tournament, May 23, 4 - 9:15pm PT (8 meetings + SU tournament)

Students explore multiple formats with a focus on Public Forum Debate. Tournament topic exploration, argument prep, construction and practice. Coach Cara will challenge advanced students to continue to grow as thinkers and debaters, and provide foundation for high school debate programs.
